The New Jersey Devils proved to be victorious over the Philadelphia Flyers this past weekend. Andreas Johnsson had a game of his life. He recorded two goals and two assists. Jesper Bratt also pitched in for the Devils having a goal and two assists as well. The Devils went on to dominate the Flyers, 5-2 Sunday evening.
The Devils have snapped a two-game losing streak and won their first game at home since early November. Dougie Hamilton had a goal alongside Nathan Bastian who also scored in the victory. Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood made 22 saves that help solidify the win in the third period.
“It was a great team effort,” Johnsson commented. “We let them come back a bit at the beginning, but we stayed focused, remained patient, and scored some important goals in the end.”

Bratt broke a tie with eight minutes left in the third period. Johnsson, with fox-like abilities, stole the puck in the Flyers zone and fed Bratt who nailed the backhand shot. Bratt extended the point streak to four games. He now has 14 points, three goals, and ten assists in 12 games in November, per ESPN.
“Bratt did an excellent job communicating with me, letting me know he was open,” Johnsson shared. “I just had to pass it to his stick, and I knew he would score once he had it.”
