Pray For Paris, the latest album from Westside Gunn, brings together an impressive roster of talent. Collaborating with Griselda artists Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher, as well as Grammy-winner Tyler, the Creator, Wale, Joey Bada$, Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano, Boldy James, Billie Essco, Joyce Wrice, Keisha Plum, and Cartier A Williams, Gunn creates a musical masterpiece. Notably, this album also marks Gunn’s first collaboration with DJ Premier, while also featuring production from Tyler, the Creator, Alchemist, Daringer, DJ Muggs, Jay Versace, and more.
The recording of Pray For Paris is a testament to Gunn’s creative process. Completed in just two days during his visit to Paris for the Off-White fashion show, the album was an unexpected endeavor. It was the first time Gunn had ventured outside his home country, and the vibrant energy of the city became a wellspring of inspiration.
