Some artists can take a break from social media or take a long extended hiatus before putting out a new album. Unfortunately, the chances of them selling a record after that are slim to none. Either they’ve “fallen off”, or people aren’t interested in their music anymore. Unfortunately, the world can be fickle. Fortunately, stars like Nicki Minaj know how to handle the ups and downs of the music biz. Though these days, it seems like everything works in her favor.

Furthermore, Nicki Minaj’s new song “Super Freaky Girl” recently debuted at the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The track comes as the raptress’ third no. 1 single on the music charts. Moreover, “Super Freaky Girl” has garnished 2.1 million streams, radio play, and sold 89,000 thousand downloads in the 1st week! Clearly, that’s a huge win for the artist. In the end, all Nicki Minaj does is win.

Though Nicki Minaj may have a wall dedicated to all of her trophies, her Billboard win comes as one of her biggest accomplishments. According to Billboard, the raptress’ “Super Freaky Girl” track became the first solo female rapper to secure the no. 1 spot in a long time.

Furthermore, Lauryn Hill was the very first to take the crown on the Billboard’s Chart with her 1998 track “Doo Wop (That Thing).” Given the known fact that Nicki Minaj idolizes Lauryn Hill, it’s clear she learned from the best of the best. No wonder she keeps nabbing the no. 1 spot on the music charts every time!
