Normani is very much giving us modern-day Disney Princess at the Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Show. As the 2021 Venice Film Festival commenced, the pop star made an appearance in a Dolce & Gabbana ball gown from their spring 2008 ready-to-wear collection. The Fashion House’s event consisted of many stars donning different haute couture looks, but they couldn’t touch Normani.

Her green gown had pink-and-white painted floral designs above a full black tulle skirt. The gown is what I would imagine an old-school Princess Tiana wearing, but her accessories make it more modern. This 16th-century look mixed with her intricate braided design by hairstylist Ashanti Lation, and laid edges gave a vibe of black excellence. The beauty of Normani owning her roots and evolving what is called an ‘urban’ aesthetic into an haute couture look – is magical.
Nevertheless, the “Wild Side” singer enjoyed herself alongside artists like Megan Thee Stallion, whom she has grown close to since their collaboration “Diamonds” from the Birds of Prey Soundtrack. The former Fifth Harmony member even goes as far as considering her and Megan sisters. She shared that on her Instagram Story during the event. The artists then met up with Ciara and danced the night away, not worrying about the clock striking 12!
