The 24-year old super-bowl MVP became of a member of the Kansas City Royals ownership group today. Adding further commitment to the city, he just signed a 10-year contract with.

The Royals released a statement today announcing their newest ownership member, and city fan-favorite Patrick Mahomes. In the press release. CEO John Sherman had this to say about the announcement.
“We are very proud and excited to have as our partner in the ownership group of this franchise.”
Fresh off a Superbowl win and the signing of a $503 million contract with $477 in guarantees, Mahomes is doing pretty well. Add Major league sports owner to his resume, and it reads quite differently from most people his age.

The son of a major league pitcher, Mahomes, spent a lot of his time as a youth in the clubhouses of various teams. With his investment into the royals, the chiefs franchise’s cornerstone becomes the youngest owner in history.
