A railing on the side of the tunnel leading to the visiting locker after the game collapsed Sunday. The collapse caused several fans to face plant as Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was walking past. The Washington Football team released a statement.
“We believe that everyone involved was offered medical evaluation at the stadium and left on their own. We’re relieved that no one seems to have been seriously hurt. The safety of our fans and guests is extremely important to us, and we are investigating the incident.”

The collapsing area is specifically for disabled people, per team officials. Furthermore, the area fans bombarded is to hold no more than six individuals in wheelchairs. The most it can hold is twelve people. The intention of the railing is not to withhold excess weight.
Naturally, excited fans leaned over the railing, attempting to gain Hurts’ attention. However, shortly after the railing collapsed and they fell approximately six feet to the ground. Hurts managed to avoid all the commotion.
Luckily, five fans fell but quickly got back up. Hurts’ assistance brought smiles to many of the fan’s faces. Fans surrended a smiling Hurts as he welcomed them by opening his arms and hugging several of them. Later, the security guards helped direct the fans to return to the stands.
“I’m just happy everybody is safe from it. That’s crazy stuff right there,” Hurts said after the game. “That was a really dangerous situation. Passionate Philadelphia Eagles fans. I love it.”
