The President-elect Injures Ankle
Multiple sources report that President-elect Joe Biden slipped and twisted his ankle on Saturday. Firstly, he was reportedly playing with his dog Major.
“He will see an orthopedist this afternoon as a precaution,” stated the Office of the President-elect on Sunday.
Biden’s Treatment
Then, Biden was treated at the Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in Newark, Delaware late Sunday afternoon.
“The van was maneuvered so that reporters and photographers could not see the president elect as he left the motorcade and entered the building,” said a reporter on the scene, according to HuffPo.
Major, the Bidens’ German shepherd, will be the first shelter rescue dog to get the title of “first dog.” The president-elect adopted Major from the Delaware Humane Association.
Is He Fit for President, Health-wise?
In 2019, Biden released his medical records during his campaign run. This followed comments from Trump regarding his health.
Dr. Kevin O’Connor from The George Washington University said Biden, a 77-year-old male, is healthy for the Presidency. But, Biden has a history of serious health issues, including brain aneurysms, deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism in the 80s.
Biden has been a youthful political figure. He has no major current health concerns to date. The President-elect will fulfill his duties as the pending leader of the free world.
