Being guilty by association is a real thing. The company you keep around says a lot about your character. Sometimes the wise decision is to cut all ties. And that’s exactly what hip-hop veteran Pusha T did with long-time friend and collaborator Kanye West.
Officially Cut Ties
In a recent interview, Pusha T admitted that he isn’t on good terms with Kanye. He even mentioned how he wants to distance himself from him and will no longer be serving as the President of G.O.O.D. Music. This is such a crazy turn of events, because these two have been pals for such a long-time.
But I completely understand why Pusha T had to make that tough decision. Kanye harassed the George Floyd family and be hanging out with people who believe in anti-Semitism. I don’t blame Pusha T one bit. If I were him, I wouldn’t want to be aligned with you either, if that’s how you are moving.
Never Needed Ye
The one thing I dislike about this situation is how Kanye fans have been bad-mouthing Pusha T. They are acting as if Kanye’s production made Pusha T as if The Neptunes never existed. Kanye stans truly get on my damn nerves for continuously believing that Ye can do no wrong.
I’m happy that Pusha T is taking a stance against Kanye. Push was doing fine before Kanye and will be fine post-Kanye. Hopefully, more people follow suit and reconsider having Ye in their life.
