Migos frontman Quavo’s solo career has really taken off, even to new heights. The “Straightenin’” star has made it clear that he wants to do more than just rap and make music videos. Apparently, he has aspirations of being an action actor like his idol Ice Cube. Moreover, the Compton rapper has starred in his fair share of hit blockbuster, action-packed films like The Ride Along franchise. He’s also become the blueprint for many Black entertainers, including Quavo.
Quavo Idolizes Ice Cube
Quavo has quickly become the talk of town. He’s receiving endorsement deals right and left. Not to mention, he’s being tapped for films and working alongside some of the greatest stars ever known. The “Bad & Bougie” emcee credited rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube for making it possible for him to pursue an acting career.
Recently, the Migos rapper sat down with GQ Hype where he spoke highly of the Friday After Next star. Quavo believes that Ice Cube paved the way for other artists like him to make the transition between a successful musician to actor. Unfortunately, not many talents get the chance to make such a drastic change, mostly because they aren’t received very well. Clearly, Quavo has received positive responses from TV critics, after making cameos on Black-ish and Atlanta. It’ll be interesting to see Quavo in a full-length film, especially with all the action stunts. Let’s see what kind of acting chops the rapper has in store for us.
Stay Tuned For His Action Flicks
The Migos frontman might just be on his way to becoming the next action hero like his idol Ice Cube. In the next year, fans can look forward to seeing the famous rapper in multiple movies, including Takeover, Praise This, and the much-anticipated Wash Me In The River alongside Robert De Niro. Those three movies alone are a huge lineup for the rap star.
