In the latest lawsuit debacle, Cesar Millan a dog trainer known as the “Dog Whisperer” is intertwined with it. On the legal document, the gymnast states she was gravely bitten. In which alleged the dog has aggressive tendencies and allegedly attacked her. According to the document it also attacked and killed Queen Latifah’s dog, and it is claimed in the lawsuit, they tried to cover it up.
The claims of the attack based on the lawsuit come from Lidia Matiss. She said that in 2017, she went to visit her mother’s office building in Van Nuys, CA, a building she states is owned by Cesar. This is where she came across the “Dog Whisperer’s” pet Junior, who was “unsupervised and unleashed” according to the outlet.
When Matiss went to the hospital after the attack, TMZ said her “injuries were severe”. She also claims that the situation stopped her from competing.
Matiss claims that Junior had other instances of biting people and even attacking other dogs as well. The Daily News reported that Junior died at the age of 15. She also says that Millan was aware of the dog’s behavior, but stills allowed him to go without a leash.
In the lawsuit, Matiss states that the attack itself has made her carry on with physical and mental scars from the situation. TMZ also reported she is suing for unspecified damages.
Apparent Cover-Up
Matiss also says that Junior “mauled one of Queen Latifah’s dogs to death”. And that Cesar tried to cover it up, saying to his staff that they should tell the actress her dog was run over by a car and killed.
In said document, it mentions that Junior has had other encounters based on rage, including Queen Latifah’s dog. It is stated that in a moment, Latifah, 51, took her two dogs to The Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, California. Same Institution owned by Cesar Millan.
