Ralo was arrested in April 2018 after law enforcement officials found close to $1 million worth of marijuana on his private plane at the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in Atlanta. He had been charged with federal drug conspiracy charges at the time, against which he had pleaded not guilty. In June 2022, he was offered an eight-year sentence but had credit for four years already served, plus additional time off for good behavior.

Ralo proclaimed his innocence and wouldn’t agree to any sort of plea bargain for a reduction of time. Once he had his mind on music and family, the harsh conditions were burnished off. Sharing a touching reunion with his daughter this April 2023, Ralo stated how essential this second was for him. In case his music career didn’t die in prison, he released his mixtape “97 Months,” having quite several notable collaborations.

Since his release, Ralo has been active on social media, celebrating his freedom and updating the public about what is to come. Interestingly, he gave a big thank you to all who kept love running—a list that included superstars Drake and Meek Mill, who were indeed campaigning for him to be free. Well, Ralo is back at work with his music profession. He announced plans to release some new tracks right off the board with “First Day Out,” speaking about this journey and how much he had overcome.
