Residente finds himself in some hot water after dropping his collaboration with Argentinian producer Bizarrap. He released a song called “This Is Not America”. This new song is a response to Childish Gambino’s hit “This Is America”.

Let us begin by discussing Gambinos significant contribution reflected in the song ‘This Is America.’ In this masterpiece. Gambino delves into the harsh realities faced by individuals of diverse racial backgrounds residing within the United States. He sheds light upon the daunting challenges posed by gun violence. All while highlighting the glaring disparities that prevail among different social and economic classes. But there’s one thing Gambino got wrong when making the hit track and Residente points it out.

“América no es sólo USA, papá, esto es desde ‘Tierra del Fuego’ hasta Canadá”.

“These scoundrels forgot that the calendar they use was invented by the Mayans”. Moreover, in this fragment, the Puerto Rican rapper demonstrates the history of attributions to the pre-Hispanic cultures left for us.

Then in another part of the video, a group of people with their faces covered makes a huge reference to the 90’s group EZLN (Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional) or Zapatista Army of National Liberation. It also showcases Central American Gangs like “Mara Salvatrucha”.
