Rihanna Reveals Details About Her Upcoming R9 Album
During her Savage X Fenty Fashion Show Vol. 3, Rihanna talked with several publications about her upcoming R9 album. It’s been years since the Barbados beauty released any new music. Of course, the beauty guru has been busy running a now billion-dollar fashion brand all this time. It doesn’t seem like Rihanna would have time to make new music. Fortunately, the singer implies that she’s been hitting the studio booth hard. She revealed to Associated Press and others that her R9 album will be unlike anything fans have ever heard from her before. According to the singer, her album will have “a new sound.” However, in typical Rihanna fashion, she remained tight-lipped on just what that meant.
Though, back in 2019 Rihanna did tell Vogue Magazine that her R9 album will be reggae-inspired. “I see it as an album with reggae influences or a touch of reggae… It won’t be the usual reggae you’re familiar with, but you’ll sense its essence in all the tracks.” Rihanna told Vogue Magazine. Hopefully, this time Rihanna will come out with the album.
Rihanna’s Beau A$AP Rocky Has No Say So On Fashion Projects
While Rihanna has given some insight to her upcoming R9 project, she definitely didn’t ask her beau A$AP Rocky for feedback. The singer is so much of a control-freak that she didn’t even let him have a say so during the Savage X Fenty Men’s collection. That is, until the designs were completed. In a recent interview with People Magazine, the star shared that she oversaw all her fashion works. Of course, by Rihanna being an awesome fashion mogul, she knows what she’s doing. Additionally, the star noted that her boyfriend A$AP Rocky loves all her designs and everything she does. Obviously, A$AP Rocky will be a huge fan of R9.
