The Royal Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and her husband, Prince Harry took the world by storm in their explosive tell-all interview. The interview which aired on CBS last Sunday featured no other than the entertainment mogul herself, Oprah Winfrey.
During the interview, Meghan shocked airwaves when she explained what it was really like during her time at Buckingham Palace. From thoughts of suicide to troubling allegations about the royal family’s views about race; Oprah left no topic unaddressed.
Son Archie Denied Title
She revealed that in the months leading up to their son’s birth, that some members of the royal family expressed concerns of the child’s skin color. In particular, questioning how dark the potential child would be. On top of that, the royal family proceeded to have conversations with the couple about the fact that Archie would be denied his birthrights including; a title and basic security.
Another shocking revelation was the fact that during her time in court she had multiple thoughts of suicide after consistent harassment by the British press. When she attempted to seek help, she was denied. The royal court constantly told her that this was “just the way it is.”
Fearing of history repeating itself, Harry made an executive decision to protect his family. The two decided to step down and move to a different country. Once the decision was made to relocate, the royal couple was informed that they would be “on their own.” The queen stripped Harry of his title and his personal security detail. With the increase in potential threats, Tyler Perry welcomed them into his Atlanta home and provided the family with security.
