Russian Influence over Social Media is Still Strong

According to a Senate report, Russian influence over social media is still very powerful.

New Knowledge, a private internet security firm, conducted the report. The firm used data from the biggest social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter. They concluded that millions of Russian bots, linked to the Russian government, were still quite active on these sites.

New Knowledge researchers wrote the following:

“With at least some of the Russian government’s goals achieved in the face of little diplomatic or other pushback, it appears likely that the United States will continue to face Russian interference for the foreseeable future.”

This will likely be a huge factor in the current FBI investigation in Russia and Trump.
