    Nicholas Sandmann Suing the Washington Post for $250 Million

    The 16-year-old facing accusations of insinuating a racial stand-off with a Native American marcher is now suing the publication responsible for spreading fake news.

    Nicholas Sandmann, the 16-year-old, and his parents have recently filed a defamation lawsuit against the Washington Post. Under the lawsuit, the Sandmann’s state that “the post intended to harm Nicholas because he was a white, Catholic boy wearing a MAGA hat, and consciously ignored the threats of harm that it knew it would inevitably ensue, in favor of its political agenda.”

    On January 18, Sandmann and his friends traveled to Washington, DC, where they met Nathan Philips. According to the Washington Post, Sandmann and his friends mocked and bullied Mr. Philips. The publication names Sandmann as the main aggressor, and even shows video footage backing their story.

    However, Nicholas and his parents say that the Post omitted valuable information to create a narrative that wasn’t true. In fact, the Sandmanns’ claim their son is a victim and was merely trying to avoid creating a hostile situation.

    The Post must be dealt with the same way every bully is dealt with, and that is hold the bully accountable for its wrongdoing in a manner which effectively the bully from again bullying other children.”

    They are suing the Washington Post for $250 million. That should cover damages that the Sandmann boy had to endure since the news broke.
