It has been almost a decade since the last Shrek film was released. Universal Pictures has decided that this is the best time for a reboot on the popular series. According to variety, Universal is making plans to reboot Shrek and Puss in boots. Chris Meledandri, producer of Despicable me, has been set up to take over the franchise.
