Hypefresh had the privilege to attend Smino’s sold out concert live in Philadelphia at the Theatre of The Living Arts.
On the night of the show, immediately you feel a nostalgic 90’s feel of the Theatre of The Living Arts. Of course, it was intertwined with Smino’s mood of the show to give off all of the vibes! The St. Louis born rapper grabs your attention with his suave, lo-fi, jazz, and trip-hop infused sound, but it’s his lyrical whispers that linger long after the track is done.

Smino exemplified his playful tone with his latest album NOIR. His very artistic approach to music distinguishes his music type from others in the industry.
Smino’s showcase was strengthened with performances by a strong supporting musicians Phoelix and EarthGang. Phoelix and EarthGang hyped the crowd with their quirky and upbeat music and personalities. They even handpicked fans to join them on stage to show off their moves.
When the long-awaited Smino hit the stage, another type of feel comes among the venue as he takes the mic. Surely, fans clearly agreed tied with their reaction to seeing their idol. Alongside with the rapper were his band and background singer who performed outstandingly beautiful. I am sure fans left the concert with their hearts full and thoughts pertaining to Smino nothing but positive.
