Snoop Dogg, the legendary rapper, is set to take us on a wild cinematic ride with his latest project. Inspired by one of his favorite series, “Planet of the Apes,” Snoop has finally let the cat out of the bag about a movie he is working on that has a doggone twist. How about this: instead of apes, it’s dogs. Curious? So are we!
In a recent interview, Snoop said he’s really hyped about doing this remake of the classic tale. He hasn’t let out too much information about the storyline just yet, but it is clear that this project is going to be an exposition of his creativity and his style.
This movie’s director has not been announced yet, but its fans are already on high alert. In fact, with Snoop’s creative talents, we can only anticipate a director who gets close to his originality.
That’s not all Snoop has got going, though. Currently, a new release is set for his next album, entitled “Missionary”, on December 13, 2024. This album is very special since he reunites with Dr. Dre, and big names like Eminem, 50 Cent, Sting, and the late Tom Petty feature on it. It is being billed as a sequel to his 1993 debut, “Doggystyle”, so you know it’s gonna be fire.
Snoop has just released a single entitled “Gorgeous,” featuring the heavenly vocals of Jhené Aiko. This song, part of the album “Missionary,” entirely depicts the flow of Snoop and Aiko’s dreamy voice-which is surely worth listening to.
Not to mention his Planet of the Apes-esque film, Snoop is just getting his filmography going. He scored the soundtrack for the sequel to the 2001 comedy “The Wash,” in which he will star alongside Dr. Dre once again.
There’s even word of a biopic brewing, selling movie execs on the unlikely true story of how a young Calvin Broadus rose through the ranks of the hip-hop world. What’s more, he’s exploring animated projects via his companies and continuing to make appearances in a slew of films and television series.
This new movie is shaping out to be another thrilling chapter in Snoop Dogg’s versatile careers. Considering he’s a creative mind who is really good with lyrics, it should go without saying that this project will please the ever-loyal following of fans he has. So, are you ready for a dog-eat-dog world coming alive by Snoop Dogg? Stay tuned!
