Sydney Sweeney Calls Out Paparazzi for Risking Her Safety

Sydney Sweeney, known for her candor, recently spoke with Glamour magazine about a troubling side of her fame: the extreme measures paparazzi take to invade her privacy. Photographers have been staking out her house, harassing her family, and putting her safety at risk.

In the interview with Glamour magazine, Sweeney recalled a traumatic incident where paparazzi pressured her family to help capture invasive photos.

“They told my family, ‘If you tell her to just come outside in a bikini, I’ll take pictures and then leave you alone,'”

she said, highlighting the absurdity and inappropriate behavior her family endures. She also addressed rumors claiming she calls the paparazzi on herself, which she firmly denies.

“Why would I call the paparazzi to take pictures of me at my own house when my baby cousins and family are there?”

she asked, emphasizing that her top concern is her family’s safety and that such allegations are illogical.

Sweeney described the paparazzi’s extreme tactics, such as hiding in bushes and using kayaks to photograph her by water.

“I have pictures of these guys in kayaks hiding in bushes in the ocean,”

    she recalled.

    “They arrived at 8 a.m. and wouldn’t leave until 4 p.m.”

Her home has even become an unwanted tourist attraction, with strangers pointing out her location and discussing her house like it’s part of a star tour.

“I literally hear them say, ‘This is Sydney Sweeney’s house,'”

she said, underscoring the disturbing loss of privacy she faces. More concerning than the paparazzi themselves is the ripple effect of these photos.

“When those photos go out, my safety is at risk,”

    she said.

    “Everyone knows where I am.”

This exposure has left her feeling vulnerable in what should be her sanctuary—her home.

Sweeney’s experience sheds light on a broader issue faced by many celebrities today: the intersection of public fascination, invasive media, and the very real safety risks that follow. The exposure of home addresses and constant stream of online photos turn private moments into spectacles, eroding both privacy and security.

In the same interview, Sweeney discussed how the media’s focus on her body often leads to oversexualized commentary. Despite this, she finds solace in knowing that her openness about body positivity has empowered her fans, especially young women.

“That means so much to me because I believe in empowering others, feeling powerful with your body, and embracing your sexuality,”

    she said.

“And if you have boobs, great. Flaunt them.”

Despite the negativity, she remains focused on boosting others’ self-confidence.
