She followed it up with a dynamite performance as whistleblower Reality Winner in the film “Reality.” Given such credentials, no wonder fans and industry insiders rally behind her to play Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat.
Black Cat is a weird character within the Spider-Man universe. She’s known for her shifting loyalties, often swinging between being an enemy and an ally to Spider-Man. This kind of dynamic role could be tailor-made for Sweeney, who will be able to flex her incredible acting abilities in a whole new light.
