Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady Leads By Big Margin In MVP Race

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady making history again

The ageless wonder, Tom Brady continues to defy odds. Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s future Hall of Fame quarterback is running away with the 2021 MVP race and it’s not even close. We’ve approached that mark in the season where players began standing out and either blending in or separating from the crowd. Brady has separated by historic margins.

As the Buccaneers’ quarterback, he is clearly the favorite to win and more often than not it would take a lot for the favorite not to win. Brady is +140, according to Fanduel. The biggest hurdle remaining on the Buccaneer’s schedule is the Buffalo Bills. Bills quarterback Josh Allen has had a slump midway through the season. He has actually fallen significantly out of the MVP race. The Bills are coming off a disappointing loss at home to the New England Patriots.

    Other 2021 MVP candidates

The closest candidate seems to be Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers. He continues to have an outstanding season; however, just not up to par with Brady. There’s an opportunity for Rodgers to make a run for the MVP though. Many believe if he can secure the NFC top playoff seed the voter may lean towards his way. Although, he had several COVID-19 scandals that have made him not such a fan favorite these days.

While Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been fairly disappointing for the majority of the season. They have won five straight, although Mahomes has put up pedestrian numbers in all five games. It may be a long shot to catapult Mahomes in front of Brady, however, they do have an opportunity to finish with the AFC’s best record in the final stretch of the season. In the NFL, we’ve seen individuals defeat greater odds, so who’s to say what will transpire.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott continues to show inconsistencies throughout the season. Due to the Packers and Buccaneers, most likely the Cowboys will not finish with the top seed in the NFC. He has finished this month strong with impressive numbers so while it is slim, there is a potential path to the award.
