The iHeartRadio Music Awards brought out plenty of stars for a three-hour broadcast on Sunday, but Taylor Swift’s presence was the most eye-catching. She took home top honors as the night’s female artist and received an iHeartRadio Innovator Award, a prestigious honor that past recipients include Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys.
The pop star stepped out for the awards show wearing a glittering blue crystal-embroidered hooded jacket and pants from Alexandre Vauthier Couture that could have been plucked from her “Reputation” era. She paired the look with black stiletto boots and sleek straight hair.
In addition to the sparkle, Swift looked positively glowing. She wore her blonde locks in a poker-straight cut, and she added some futuristic glam to the look with a silvery smoky eye and glossy nude lip. She finished the look with KatKim jewelry and a pair of iridescent nails.
Swift’s speech about her groundbreaking career was touching, but the singer also made some powerful remarks that drew on her fan fave song “Anti-Hero.” She said that music doesn’t have to be cookie-cutter to make it successful and praised artists like Dolly Parton, Ed Sheeran and Simu for using their art to “make beautiful music” out of everything they encounter in their day-to-day lives.
Taylor also accepted the Song of the Year prize, and she used her acceptance speech to thank her fans. She referred to her fans as her “backbone” and said that they’ve helped her to be the artist she is today.
