The Breakfast Club Refuses To Interview Tekashi 6ix9ine

The last few years have experienced a huge influx of new and upcoming emcees. However, some rappers are having a harder time than others excelling at their craft. Controversial emcee Tekashi 6ix9ine can’t seem to get a shout out from anyone these days. Even his collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the “Trollz” track didn’t break records. Unfortunately, the rapper doesn’t have a lot friends in the music industry. Making matters worse, Tekashi Sixnine’s criminal activity makes a lot of people nervous. In particular, The Breakfast Club refuses to interview the controversial rapper because of his bad deeds.

When a high-profile talk show refuses to interview an artist, it’s usually a bad sign. Tekashi 6ix9ine’s manager ‘Murda’Murphy, however, must’ve forgotten The Breakfast Club’s refusal to interview his client. One of the radio show’s hosts, DJ Envy reminded the manager of his client’s ban from the show.

The radio host recalled a recent incident where someone phoned him several times at 4am this past Thursday. When DJ Envy called back, the caller claimed they were ‘Murda’ Murphy, Teskashi’s manager. They asked Envy for an interview with his client. Of course, DJ Envy was more than less inclined to give a resounding yes, given insane hour of the call. Given the unprofessional nature of the call, HipHopDX assumes that someone prank called Envy. ‘Murda’ Muphy has yet to confirm the details of the conversation. Guess only time will tell at this point.

Even if Murda Murphy did make the call to DJ Envy, there’s no chance The Breakfast Club would ever agree to interview his client. Back in 2019, the radio show banned the Tekashi Sixnine from stepping foot inside their studio. Reason being that the rapper had some pretty severe criminal charges put against him. Moreover, his criminal activity led him to link up with some pretty bad people. DJ Envy made it clear that The Breakfast Club didn’t want to promote an artist who “has a target on his back.” Plenty of rap stars have gone to jail and interviewed with The Breakfast Club. Though, the radio show seems very reluctant to interview the colorful Brooklyn rapper. Sounds like they’re playing favorites.
