The Dog That Reached the Great Pyramid’s Peak Is Still Alive

Tom Hardy has recently announced that “Venom: The Last Dance” will be his last dance with the character Eddie Brock, also known as Venom. This important moment for both Hardy and the seven-year-following fans he had was announced on his Instagram account.

In a heartwarming Instagram post, he thanked for the opportunity and said: “It’s been 7 years doing this, it’s like I started the day 7 years ago & now it’s night time, it’s time to go to sleep…. I’ve absolutely loved playing Eddie and Venom”

His words fill with warmth and appreciation; this role has meant this much to him. Hardy is radiant with excitement in the concluding chapter of the trilogy, selling a spectacular farewell to the fans. He posted, also cheekily noting, “This is me and the big guy’s last outing going out with a Bang!!!

As promotional activities for “Venom: The Last Dance” go on, Hardy has to keep reassuring people that indeed he is ready to see this character go, the chapter of his career closed.

Fans have long speculated whether we would see him further down the line take on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man through the Marvel universe, and Hardy himself has teased such a notion to keep the hope in all those fans who like that idea for a crossover that could add one more twist to the story.

For Tom Hardy, it has not only been about putting on a suit and playing the character Eddie Brock, but an ultra-intensive and personal preparation.

Hardy had to adhere to an extreme physical training regimen to bring Eddie Brock to life. Of course, this included MMA and kickboxing training. He hit the gym five days a week, building up Venom’s strength and agility. This could be noted with his action scenes that fans have enjoyed.

But Hardy’s preparation did not stop at physical strength alone; he related to the character on deeply personal levels, drawing from his experiences and struggles with mental health. This also gave another kind of connection to portray the complex psyche of Eddie Brock in his struggles with the chaotic nature of the alien symbiote. Hardy weighted the duality of Brock and Venom, adding depth to the performance: vulnerable alongside aggressive.

Another challenge for Hardy was CGI because he has to be very imaginative while acting with the CGI character; therefore, most of the time, he had to react to the things that would have been added while doing post-production. In that respect, his acting was all the more brilliant-a proof of just how seriously he takes his commitment to Venom.

Now, with Hardy finally ready to say adieu to the Venom character, a whole exciting slate of projects awaits him. In the meantime, he is also scheduled to revive his breathtaking character as Max Rockatansky in the “Mad Max: Furiosa” prequel. Fans may well find him in “Venom 3,” though he, for one, seems pretty ambivalent about this chapter’s close.

Finally, he’s set to appear in season two of “Taboo” and begin filming “The Bikeriders,” a movie based around a fictional motorcycle club said to take place in the 1960s. The “Venom” movies have taken a decidedly wild ride of ups and downs from critics, usually citing issues in storytelling, while for fans these films are purely a source of entertainment.

The first “Venom” movie grossed upwards of $850 million worldwide despite mixed reviews; thus, a sequel was quickly ordered for the small but very devoted fanbase that has grown to love Hardy’s take on the character.

As Tom Hardy closes this chapter, he leaves behind a legacy that is full of excitement, intensity, and even a hint of nostalgia. The fans are equally saddened to let go of this adored character yet anticipating what the next great adventures await Hardy. A raconteur to the bone and to the art, one thing is certain: Tom Hardy will continue to captivate audiences as either heroes, villains, or somewhere in between.

As we wait for the incoming “Venom: The Last Dance,” let’s applaud Hardy’s great journey and look forward to seeing more from this always-expanding universe of superhero movies.
