The Game has been in the paper most recently because of some legal issues. Despite those issues, The Game wanted to address something that is way bigger than him.
Compton native “The Game” took to Instagram to speak out against the wildfires happening in Northern California. Former Aftermath artist has his own theory on why these events are taking place and has finally made the public.
Game claims that these fires were set to distract people for the Thousand Oaks shooting that recently took place. “#PrayForUs #Calabasas,” he wrote alongside video footage of the scene. “power out, barely any phone service, neighbors gone (my good white people be outta there boy). “fuckin phone on 8% & this shit headed straight for us. I can’t abandon the fort tho !!!!
“Gotta hold it down #RNS [BUT AYE, YOU KNOW I’M SMART & ALWAYS LOOK AT THE ENTIRE PICTURE…. LOWKEY GOT A FEELING THIS FIRE WAS STARTED BY SOMEONE OR SOMEONE(S) TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM THE MASS SHOOTING IN THOUSAND OAKS 2 DAYS AGO] #STAYWOKE.”
The shooting Mr. Taylor is referring to took place on Wednesday, November 7th at a country music bar in Thousand Oaks, California. A total of Twelve people were killed after 28-year-old Ian David Long open-fore inside the venue.
The Westcoast rapper makes a valid point, as the fire started in the same area last week just after the shooting. CNN reports that atleast 31 people have died in the fires: 29 in Northern California’s Camp Fire, and two in Southern California’s Woolsey fire.
Roughly 228 people still unaccounted for as a result of the blaze as reported by the Butte County Sheriff and Coroner Kory Honea.
