    Three Arrested in Julio Foolio’s Killing Enter Not Guilty Pleas

    Three men accused of murdering rapper Julio Foolio have pleaded not guilty in a Hillsborough County courtroom. Isaiah Chance, Alicia Andrews, and Sean Gathright face premeditated first-degree murder and a plethora of other charges for the fatal shooting of Charles Jones in what now ranks as the most high profile murder case to hit this area in many a moon.
    The tragic incident happened in June of 2024 while celebrating his birthday in Tampa. The whole ambush was caught on camera in which the suspects attacked Foolio in the hotel parking lot. Law enforcement officials have also linked the murder to a serious gang vendetta in Jacksonville; the suspects are purportedly associated with rival gangs.

    Two other suspects involved in the incident are Rashad Murphy and Davion Murphy. Of the two, Rashad is already in police custody, while Davion is still at large. The arrest of these individuals blew the minds of the localities and raised concerns on the increasing gang violence in Jacksonville.

    Julio Foolio’s death was a big contribution to the music scene at home, amongst the locals, and beyond. It is music that will be celebrated for being honest to oneself and how it touched the fans. His untimely death has attracted reactions from many circles, calling for justice and an end to the senseless spates of violence.

    In a significant development, the court denied bond for three accused. The order has been well acclaimed in the area for significantly enabling community safety and ensuring justice for Julio Foolio. No bond for suspects means they remain behind bars until their trial is set for September 5, 2024.
