The Desert Takes Coachella
Coachella took over social media from Tiktok OOTD (outfit for the day) to the “invite-only” Revolve Festival disaster; the music festival was an eventful weekend. The festival took place in Palm Springs from Apr. 15th – Apr. 17th where thousands of people gathered for a weekend of great music. In fact, the Coachella lineup 2022 included some of the hottest names in the music industry, from “Woman” star Doja Cat, “Savage” rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and “As It Was” artist Harry Styles. Coachella 2022 was definitely a weekend to remember.
The three-day Coachella 2022 festival brought to life iconic performances, and the range varied from hip-hop, indie, pop, and many others. Anita, a Brazilian star in the Latin community, brought out a surprise guest, Snoop Dogg. The two made it well-known that their performance would be unforgettable and sexy.
No one saw it coming, a big highlight from Coachella was the iconic “Baby” star, Justin Bieber joining Daniel Caesar. And both performed the Grammy-nominated song, “Peaches.” The two made the song come to life, which was an exhilarating experience for fans.
Making History
Brazilian star Pablo Vittar made history to become the first-ever drag queen to perform at Coachella. Additionally, the “Bad Guy” star made history for being the youngest performer, Billie Eillish, and her older brother, Finneas. Eillish performed some of her iconic Happier Than Ever tracks, and fans agree that it was something special.
The girl group that took over the stage at Coachella, 88Rising, and The Head Of Clouds Forever showcase was a performance filled with special guests. The night of powerhouses included Asian acts, from opening with Warren Hue to the ending with CL and 2NEI’s surprise reunion.
Then Rapper 21 Savage performed and brought out Post Malone. The rap star’s set featured some of his greatest hits like “Bank Account,” and both rappers ended with “Rockstar.” It was a jaw-dropper and an exciting moment.
The Weeknd x Swedish House Mafia Shut It Down
The Weeknd, alongside Swedish House Mafia, closed out the final day of the first weekend of Coachella. Swedish House Mafia opened the set with a mix of hits and performed a collaboration between the two, “Moth to a Flame,” from the album Paradise Again. The 32-year-old R&B star performed some of his greatest hits, “Blinding Lights, Save Your Tears,” and even his verse from his Kanye West collaboration “Hurricane.” According to reports, the 32-year-old star was not even booked until earlier this month due to Kanye West pulling out.
All in all, Coachella Weekend 1 had incredible moments and performances that truly created memories of a lifetime. Fans are ready to see what these music stars have to offer one last time this upcoming weekend. Stay tuned for highlights from the second Coachella lineup 2022.
