Toni Braxton’s Nostalgic New Album
In Hollywood, getting old doesn’t exist. R&B singer Toni Braxton was one of the best talents the 1990s and early 2000s had to offer. The 52-year-old is responsible for introducing us to nostalgic tracks like “Un-Break My Heart” and “Breath Again.” Braxton is one of the greatest singers of all time. To this day, she still continues to create and promote good music.
The 7-time Grammy winner lives out her legacy with the release of her new album Spell My Name this year. The record received majorly positive reviews from fans. Braxton’s album brings back 90s R&B oldies feels and love ballads, all while dancing the heartbreak away. While it’s particularly targeted at the older generations of music listeners, the record does give way to the younger demographic as well, especially with tracks like “Gotta Move On” featuring H.E.R. Not to mention, she did a pretty boss-ass job of promoting her album with her recent new look.

Not only has Toni Braxton managed to stay relevant in the music industry but her Instagram game is always on point. The 52-year-old proves that age is just a number. This past Thanksgiving, the “Spanish Guitar” singer returned to her signature short haircut but added a twist. Instead of sporting her familiar black curly haircut, Braxton went with a more sleek, blonde pixie cut that left many fans in awe. In the double clip, the star is seen striking a pose in a shear black top and bra underneath while flaunting her blonde-do. At one point, she looks directly at the camera and puts on a pair of cool shades. All the while, her title song “Spell My Name” plays in the background.
The “Hands Tied” singer further promoted her new album again in the captions, “Have you ordered the Spell My Name Vinyl yet?” A new album and a new look, this must be a new era for Toni Braxton.
