August is approaching, and some amazing fun movies are coming out that you shouldn’t miss. This list will contain a mixture of genres and availability since movie theaters are not open everywhere due to COVID.
#1 Antebellum
This movie was originally supposed to be available in the spring but had to get pushed back due to COVID. The movie will be in theaters starting August 21st.
The movie is rated R and is categorized as a horror movie. This movie can be a great start to your spooky marathon to prepare for Halloween.
The synopsis of the movie is the following: A successful author finds herself in a horrifying reality and must figure out the mystery behind it before it is too late.
#2 The Secret Garden
If you want to escape the reality of the world, watch The Secret Garden, this fantasy movie will be sure to bring you into another dimension.
This movie will be in theaters starting August 14th. The movie is rated PG and is categorized as a Fantasy.
The synopsis of the movie is the following: Mary Lennox is born in India to wealthy British parents who never wanted her. When her parents suddenly die, she is sent back to England to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven. She meets her sickly cousin Colin and the two children find a wondrous secret garden lost on the grounds of Misselthwaite Manor.
#3 Jurassic Park
If you want a blast from the past, Netflix is coming out with the 3 Jurassic Park movies. Whether you have seen it or not it is a classic, and deserves a watch or a rewatch.
The movies will be on Netflix starting August 1st. The movies are rated PG-13 and are in the adventure category.
The synopsis of the movies are a little different but they all involve a group of people going to a science made amusement park where there are real dinosaurs.
#4 Phineas and Ferb: the Movie: Candace Against the Universe
A new Phineas and Ferb movie are coming to your screen through Disney+.
This movie will be on Disney+ on August 28th, the movie is PG rated.
The synopsis of the movie is the following: After Candace is abducted by aliens, Phineas and Ferb embark on a journey to rescue her from her captors.
#5 The Personal History of David Copperfield
If you are looking for a history-based comedy, The Personal History of David Copperfield will be perfect for you.
It will be released on August 14th and will be available on multiple platforms like Amazon Prime. It is PG rated.
