Travis Scott Busted in Miami for Drunken Chaos on Yacht

This morning, rapper Travis Scott found himself in hot water when arrested at the Miami Beach Marina. He will face charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing in connection with an incident that occurred on a chartered boat.

The arrest was made around midnight on June 20, 2024. According to the Miami Beach Police, Scott was heavily drunk and causing a huge disturbance on a yacht. The police had been called by other vessels and marina workers disturbed by the noise. Ignoring several warnings from police to vacate the boat, Scott continued until they arrested him on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.

Upon arrival, Miami Beach Police officers requested Scott leave the premises numerous times and calm down; however, he ignored them and continued causing a ruckus. Onlookers described Scott as highly intoxicated and being asked multiple times by police to leave and calm down. With the warnings, police had no option but to take him into custody. Scott was taken into custody, and his bail was thus set at a combined $650. A few hours later, Scott posted bail and was freed from custody.

Shortly after being released, Scott went to Twitter with a short, rather careless message: “Lol.”The tweet came out at 8:45 a.m. EST and, therefore, went viral with the mixture of every person’s—consumers’ and press’s alike—amusement and criticism at his casual response. Many fans found the humor; others blasted him for not being serious about the situation.

A spokesperson for the Miami Beach Police said it was an extremely minor incident: nobody was physically hurt, nor was there any kind of fight. It was considered a closed case when Scott posted bail, much like getting a ticket for a minor violation. Scott’s representative has not yet made an official comment about this case.
