Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk has predicted that former president Donald Trump will win the 2024 election if he is indicted, saying that if he were to be arrested by the Manhattan prosecutors, he would be re-elected with a “landslide victory.”

Elon Musk Says Trump Will Win 2024 Election If Indicted
In a tweet posted on his platform Truth Social on Saturday, Mr. Trump claimed that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday of next week, adding that his supporters should “protest” and “take our nation back.”
According to the report, Mr. Trump is expected to be indicted on a number of charges, including obstruction of justice. The investigation is based on the hush money payments that were made to Ms Daniels to keep her from revealing an alleged affair she had with Mr. Trump, who has denied the allegations and reimbursed her through installments.
Is the indictment worth it?
The alleged indictment has drawn sharp criticism from conservatives, who argue that the probe is politically motivated. The Washington Post reported last month that prosecutors were considering using a controversial law against the president — one that’s never been used before to prosecute someone for violating a campaign finance law.
A spokesman for the Manhattan district attorney’s office declined to comment on the possibility of an indictment, and Mr. Trump’s lawyers have not been notified of the case.
It’s also unclear whether he plans to run for president in 2024. While he has made no qualms about supporting conservative candidates in the 2022 midterm elections, Mr. Musk isn’t a fan of Mr. Trump and has criticized him in the past.
In a recent survey, Mr. Trump was viewed as a strong supporter by around 30% of American voters. This number has hovered around that level since Mr. Trump tried to block the 2020 election certification at the US Capitol on 6 January 2021, and it’s likely to stay that way.
This could boost his chances of winning in 2024 and reclaim the White House. But, as with all predictions, this could just be a rumor and won’t prove to be true.
A bold prediction
While the 2024 election is still a long way off, this prediction from Musk shows that the Democrats’ constant attacks on Mr. Trump are starting to backfire – even decided Trump non-fans like Elon Musk can see it.
Despite these attacks, the polls have shown that Mr. Trump is still very popular, and the fact that he was able to retain his popularity in the face of so much vitriol is testament to just how effective his policies have been at bringing about change.
The former president has been embroiled in several investigations and legal challenges over the last seven years, including two impeachments, numerous lawsuits, and the Russia collusion hoax. But, he has managed to hold his own and remain popular with Americans in a time when many have lost faith in the political system. This is largely thanks to the hard work of the Republican Party, who have done a fantastic job fighting back against the liberal agenda that has dominated the US political landscape for decades.
