Even in Hollywood, sometimes our bad behavior just can’t be forgiven. Legendary rapper Tyler The Creator tries to apologize to Selena Gomez for his past tweets about the singer. Though, the rap icon doesn’t send an apology to the singer in a traditional sense. Rather, he tries to make amends with Gomez via a new single off his latest album “Call Me If You Get Lost.” Though, fans aren’t exactly convinced Tyler The Creator offered a proper apology to Selena Gomez. The singer herself isn’t even in an hurry to make amends either.
The Rapper Wants To Make Amends
Nowadays, a proper apology is hard to come by. People pride themselves on being right, even when they’re dead wrong. Though, Tyler The Creator tried to correct his past wrong doings decades later on a track off his latest album “Call Me If You Get Lost.”
In particular, the rapper tweeted derogatory comments about Selena Gomez back in 2010 and 2011. One of the tweets read, “Selena Gomez I’m going to fk the st out of you.” At the time, both Tyler The Creator and Selena Gomez had been in their late teens. Recently, the rapper tried making amends by offering his apology on his song “Manifesto” off his new album. “I was a teener, tweetin’ Selena crazy s–t. Didn’t wanna offend her, apologize when I seen her”in the song,” one of the lyrics from the song read.
Not sure Gomez, or anyone for that matter will view his past comments as just a harmless teen crush. In addition to releasing crude tweets about the Rare singer, Tyler The Creator also threw in the lyric, “ . . . Back when I was tryna f**k Bieber, Just-in.” Now it seems like a love triangle gone wrong.
The Fans Tell The Rapper To Try Harder
Despite his attempts to make amends, the fans showed no sympathy for Tyler The Creator. In fact, they thought he only made the “apology” for clout. Tough crowd. Furthermore, many fans viewed Tyler The Creator’s attempts at amending his bad deed to Gomez as insincere. “This isn’t an apology,” one tweet read, echoing the thoughts of many fans. Some mistakes just can’t be erased with an apology.
