WATCH: Golan Joins Forces With Island Chain For “Rocket Love”

Coming from different musical backgrounds, the now five active members of GOLAN have cultivated a signature sound of their own which has seen them have one of the fastest ascents in the Romanian electronic music scene.

Having opened for acts such as Roisin Murphy in Vienna and touring with Parov Stelar, GOLAN consists of Alex (keyboards, flute, trumpet and the hang pan drum), Florian (bass, guitar and synths), lulian (drums); not forgetting Ernesto (percussions) and Mihai (vocals, live sampling, DJ).

Their latest single ‘Rocket Love’ is an ode to hazy summer nights, the feeling of contentment and those moments of pure solitude. The video was directed by Sander Houtkruijer (Floating Points ‘Nespole’ / Asaf Avidan ‘One Day’) and has currently clocked up over 179,000 views. Set in Rio, Brazil – it follows the simple pleasures of one woman’s daily routine – whilst capturing the glimpses of joy between those routines.
