Watch Lil Pump Lose His Cool Over Trump and Harris—Exclusive Heated Interview!

The outspoken rapper Lil Pump has been making waves with his political views lately. Here, he speaks pragmatically about the support for Donald Trump, his upcoming Spanish album, and what is on his mind when somebody mentions both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Joe Biden in this interview with XXL.

Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, has been an outspoken Donald Trump supporter since the 2020 presidential election cycle. He has characterized his endorsement of Trump with strong language and, seemingly, a distaste for other political figures, particularly Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. In an interview recently, he disclosed that he believes Trump is the very thing this country needs, explaining, “[Donald Trump’s] what the country needs, bro. We don’t need a f**kin’ piece of sh*t like Biden…” . This establishes continued support for the political agenda of Trump and frustration over the present administration.

Lil Pump has been on the receiving end for his provocative comments about Vice President Kamala Harris, in which he claimed she was not Black but Indian. He went at her record as district attorney, saying she had thrown more than 1,500 people in jail for weed. That was where the rub lay, so when people called him out on those areas, it was righteous in nature.

But it’s not all politics for Pump. He’s also wading into new musical waters. The 23-year-old rapper, from Colombia originally, is working on a Spanish-language album. “I got a lot of big features on there, which I can’t speak about right now,” he said, giggling with enthusiasm. His fans will no doubt still hear maybe some of his trademark English-speaking rap, but this project sets a whole new dimension into his career. “I have so much Spanish music that’s going to be coming out,” he says, alluding to a creative evolution paying respect to his heritage.

Things aren’t all good for Lil Pump, though. During the interview, he spoke about a diss track he previously had in the works that was aimed at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The track was supposed to drop on his birthday, August 17. “I’m about to rip the internet this week,” Pump boasted. Days later, he had a change of heart. Instead of the diss track, he announced to social media, “I’m dropping a pro Trump song with the support of the trump team!! YES THIS IS BIG!! MAGA.”

Since many were caught off guard by this sudden change of character, Pump explained that he was all about staying focused on the political game rather than getting involved in any negative energy. Pump’s passion for politics spilled onto Twitter, now known as X, where he waxed poetic in support of Trump and questioned Harris’s race. He began posting tweets, raising debates and discussions.

Pump didn’t hold back, adding that Trump is the better man for office when compared to Vice President Kamala Harris. He went on to criticize the administration, saying, “When Trump was in office, gas prices was down, taxes was down, everything was down. These muthaf**kas [Joe Biden and Kamala Harris] come in office, and everything goes up.” In fact, Pump even had plans before for a diss track aimed at both Harris and Biden but has since released a pro-Trump song.

Lil Pump first reached the national mainstream due to his support for Trump during a November 2020 rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at which Trump referred to him as “Little Pimp.” Many have looked at that moment for what it was: an attempt to woo young voters into the Trump camp. The fact he performed at a Trump rally was significant because it represented a rollout from party animal rapper to political figure touting Trump’s reelection.

Pump’s remarks on Biden and Harris are not one-off analysis. He attacked the policies of Joe Biden, specifically on taxation, which he felt was unjust, squarely aimed at his status category. He has also made, against Kamala Harris, a few disparaging remarks about her identity and political record. Interestedly, his statements earned both solace and backlash in equal measure underpinning the polarizing nature of his political views.

Other than the verbal, Lil Pump took a number of other actions aimed at consolidating his loyalty to Trump, whereby he got a tattoo with a likeness of Trump. He made multiple threats to leave the United States in case of a Biden win, thus stressing his support for the former president’s campaign. It is through this expressiveness and zestful nature that he has been able to carve out a distinct place both in hip-hop and politics.

The responses to the Lil Pump statements have been divided. Part of the fans are for his sentiments and admire what they referred to as his bold step. For example, his supporters often hail him for not fearing to speak out against what they had considered political correctness and commitment to conservative values. Comments on social media indicate that part of his fan base shares his sentiment regarding Harris and Biden and views him as a voice for them in their anger toward the current administration.

On the other side, his comments have been broadly deplored by various fans and pundits, most especially those that did concern Harris’s race. Critical Reception Critics say that his remarks are factually inaccurate and promote stereotypical ideas. Some have even referred to him as “delusional” when it came to his claims regarding Harris’ ethnicity and her record as a district attorney.

From all corners, statements from Lil Pump have both been bringing a lot of heat to the former on platforms like X. Many users said he was offensive, ignorant—some even turned his comments for good humor. And to a great degree, this is representative of something more culturally and politically divisive in the U.S. today: fans rallying behind or railing against these views.
