Who Advances After Sunday, As The Buffalo Bills Face The Chiefs?

Buffalo Bills travel up to Kansas City this upcoming weekend to face off in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. In their previous matchup in the playoffs, Stefon Diggs walked off the field angered by the loss but motivated by revenge. In October, these two teams played and the Bills got the better of the Chiefs. Diggs walked off the field feeling avenged for the playoff loss. However, he also understood they would meet later down the line.

The Bills are coming off a dominating performance against the respectable New England Patriots, 47-17. The Chiefs had a smooth road to victory, as well, they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 42-21. Now the Bills await Patty Mahomes and that Chiefs high-flying offense.

“They’ve got all the talent in the world,” Diggs said. “The Chiefs have been performing exceptionally well. They reached the Super Bowl twice and possess a fantastic quarterback, talented receivers, and a solid defense. They are truly a formidable team.”

As expected, it seems that Diggs isn’t the only superstar looking forward to the highly anticipated matchup, either.

“We’ll likely face them numerous times. It will be excellent competition,” stated Mahomes. “It’s certainly going to be a significant challenge for our team to compete against them.”

    Buffalo Bills anticipated matchup

This upcoming weekend, it’ll be hard to find another game with more star power than this one. Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw five touchdowns against the Patriots’ defense. This set a Bills playoff record, alongside, Diggs and resurgent running back Devin Singletary that give him plenty of playmakers and weapons down the field. On the other hand, their defensive backs are amongst the elite. Bills safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde led the league in almost every meaningful stat column for a DB.

“It’s difficult to have a flawless game,” remarked Chiefs coach Andy Reid, “and they executed it well last week.”

This game is going to be one for the ages because these teams have history and they don’t like each other much. Bills head coach Sean McDermott even spent most of his years working for Reid in Philadelphia. The stage is set for an emerging rivalry and an exciting matchup.

“We don’t want to experience the same disappointment we felt last year. We remember how our season ended there,” Allen expressed. “Now, we must give our all to ensure that it doesn’t conclude in the same way this year.”
