Kenosha Police Shoot Jacob Blake Multiple Times
When will the senseless brutality by police officers stop? Just yesterday Jacob Blake was shot in the back several times by a Kenosha police officer. Blake was attempting to enter his car when one of the officers grabbed his arm and shot him in the back seven times as his children, ages 3, 5, and 8 were seated in the vehicle. The video below shows footage of the event, be warned there are graphic images.
The horrific footage shows a blatant disregard for human life by the officer involved. It has been reported that Jacob Blake was attempting to help break up a domestic dispute. After the cops arrived Blake was leaving to allow them to handle the situation. That is when one of the officers made the decision to unload seven shots into the back of a man that was simply trying to get back into his car with three of his children.
Currently, Blake is in stable condition at an intensive care unit. There is a GoFundMe page that has been set up to help cover the costs of Blake’s medical costs.
Final Thoughts
It is truly disgusting to witness yet another example of police brutality to such an extreme. Jacob Blake attempted to return to his car that his three children were in and the officer’s reaction was to repeatedly fire shots into his back. How can we live in a day and age where police officers repeatedly brutalize black people with little to no repercussions?
