In recent news, it’s evident that Ye is drawn to drama. Ye has been making headlines for his divorce from influencer Kim Kardashian. Additionally, Ye walked out of a podcast, adding to the complexity of the situation. On the podcast, he intended to discuss his recent dinner with Donald Trump. The podcast, Timcast IRL, delves into controversial topics through discussion. According to TMZ, Ye appeared on the podcast alongside right-wing extremist Milo Yiannopoulos and white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
Rather than avoiding controversy, Ye dove headfirst into it. He expressed grievances about being de-banked, facing unfair bills from Adidas, battling Gap, and owing substantial taxes. He mentioned a $75 million hold on four of his bank accounts and approximately $50 million in tax debt. Throughout his speech, Ye shared his hurt over perceived mistreatment by banks and the media, referring to them as “them.” Regrettably, Ye made racially insensitive comments, referencing the film American History X and the civil rights movement. When asked about the term “they,” Ye became defensive and abruptly departed.
It’s unclear if his comments targeted the mainstream media or if they encompassed all Jewish people. It’s one thing for a Black man to appear on a podcast with white supremacists, but it’s another to support such bigotry without offering any defense. Ye’s behavior contradicts his usual character, and his motives are unclear at best. Is he intentionally jeopardizing everything he has or is there another reason behind his actions? Something is ultra off with Ye.
Distraction, division and that other “D” word.
