Memphis, TN is probably one of the most slept on city for music. With a fresh, and unique southern sound, many rappers have risen through the cracks to garner mainstream success as a recording artist. One artist who has paved the way for the whole state is trap rapper Young Dolph. As one of the only independent acts to break into the mainstream without beyond signed to a major label, his original sound continues to reach new heights. Dolph has officially released the deluxe version to his chart topping Rich Slave album.
As this is his first major release since the debut of his fifth studio album (Rich Slave), fans are in for something extra special. Rich Slave features verses from rappers G Herbo, Key Glock and Megan Thee Stallion, you can expect an even more prolific body of work. As Dolph has always been the peoples champ, it is good to see him back giving the people exactly what is needed. He does an excellent job of creating a body of work that serves as the perfect follow up to an already classic trap album. The crazy thing is, Rich Slave is Dolph’s highest chart album of his career so this release could not come at a better time.
Young Dolph Releases To Be Honest Video
To make sure this release succeeds, he asked for help from a fellow artist. Memphis rappers Key Glock and Kenny Muney who have both collaborated with Dolph in the past. He also blessed his fans with the official “To Be Honest” video which was produced by hitmaker Juicy J. With cameos from NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and son Shadeur Sanders, you will see the rap star living his best life, as if he was an NFL superstar. As Dolph casually mentions Sanders in the song, it was a no brainer for him to include him in the actual video.
