The NBA Association is planning to ban Kanye West’s newest sneaker designed for athletes, all due to a specific detail. Because of a reflective heel panel makes the shoe ineligible for court play. ESPN reported the reason why due to it’s “gleaming, reflective material heel.” As cool as this detail may be on the shoe in general, this definitely makes for a good case.

Another ESPN statement says “NBA would find [the shoes] potentially distracting for both in-arena spectators and television viewers.” The NBA has an on-court review of all sneakers approved for in-game action, so no – this wasn’t a nitpicking issue. All Kanye needs to do is change the reflective detail on the shoe and it should pass the approval process.
