Ukrainian-born singer-songwriter Natisa Gogol has announced the release of her latest single and music video, “Wind of Hope.” The powerful and moving song is inspired by Natisa’s experience of fleeing her home in Kyiv with her young son and finding refuge in Prague.
Produced by Prague-based, US-born musician Gregory Darling (Julian Lennon), “Wind of Hope” is a courageous pop ballad that features expansive vocals, lush string arrangements, and anthemic choruses. The song delivers a message of hope and strength in the face of adversity, with lyrics such as “Love will rescue us / Ukraine lives in our heart.”
Natisa will be performing “Wind of Hope” at the Hlavni Nadrazi train station in Prague on February 24th, which marks the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. The station is where refugees arrived, and Natisa’s performance will serve as a tribute to all those who have been affected by the conflict.
Natisa is a graduate of the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Performing and Circus Arts, where she became a soloist for the state academic orchestra. She has collaborated with notable artists such as DJ Shiller and disco/funk vocal supergroup Boney M. Her musical heroes include Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Elton John, Barbara Streisand, Madonna, and Mariah Carey.
“Wind of Hope” is the first release from Natisa’s upcoming debut album, set to be released in 2023. You can now listen to the song on all major music streaming platforms, and the official music video is available for viewing on YouTube.
